Services
With a combined experience of 30 years in the domestic and commercial plumbing, heating, electrical and energy management fields Directors Olly and Steve started Energy-tec in 2013 with a view to providing a service that prioritises energy efficiency and quality engineering.
We are based in Salisbury, Wiltshire.
We expanded by training our own engineers and our team comprises of qualified plumbing, heating and electrical engineers.
We have the flexibility to carry out minor repairs and the capacity to undertake large scale projects both locally and throughout the South Central region.
With our range of accreditations and in-house knowledge we can offer a variety of mechanical and electrical solutions for new build, renovation and refurbishment.
Whether a single property self-build or multiple dwelling development, we can provide packages to include renewable energy, oil or gas systems to suit.
Plumbing, heating and bathrooms at a high-spec new build in the New Forest National Park, including an air source heat pump, under floor heating and bathrooms.
Complete mechanical and electrical services including underfloor heating, air source heat pump, solar PV, bathroom installations and electrical system.
A ground source heat pump extracts heat out of the ground or better still a river, stream or lake.
The low grade heat collected is increased to a usable temperature by the heat pump.
The heat is then passed to the central heating and hot water systems.
Ground source heat pumps tend to have a higher efficiency than air source heat pumps and are very quiet in operation.
Ideally, the installation needs a body of water or a large are in which we bury the heat collector pipe - typically in a small field rather than a garden lawn.
For most houses air source heat pumps are an energy efficient alternative to a fossil fuel burning boiler and these systems are suitable for both new build developments or retrofitting to existing properties.
Generous support from the Government's Renewable Heat Incentive can pay most of the installation costs.
Ideally suited to rural off grid properties providing lower running costs than oil or LPG gas, plus no unsightly or bulky storage tank.
Massively reduced carbon emissions, especially as the proportion of renewables in the electricity supply continues to rise.
Solar PV works by converting light energy from the sun into electricity that can be used locally or exported to the national grid.
This produces significant reductions in carbon emissions and provides the installation owner with a tax free income from the government FIT (feed-in-tariff scheme).
The installation cost of a solar pv system has reduced by 75% since its wide spread introduction to the UK 7 years ago.
We can install panels either over tiles or slates (conventional solution) or in-roof, ie replacing the tiles or slates to give a clean finish.
