Portsdean Heating was founded in 1964 by John Bowyer and Dave Evans, one from Portchester and the other from Horndean.
They decided to combine the two names and Portsdean Heating limited started trading out of a garage at Portchester.
With one van and a small workshop the two founder members worked long hours and started to become recognised as a professional plumbing and heating company.
The first 10 years of business was just down to hard work to try and build a reputation for good quality installation of solid fuel, gas and oil boilers.
