Services
Michael began his own plumbing and heating business back in 1986 as a Sole Trader covering the local Pickering and Ryedale area.
In 1997, Jerry joined Michael and in 2008, Lee started working alongside us in order to serve his plumbing apprenticeship.
In 2012, Lee became a fully qualified plumber.
Aaron is the newest member of our team, who joined the group in 2013.
Between the four of us, we have over 75 years of experience in the plumbing and heating industry.
Whether you are looking for a new bathroom suite or a heating system, you have a plumbing emergency or simply need help with a minor plumbing job, we can help!
If you are looking to replace your boiler or install a new heating system, have you considered a renewable heating system?
Renewable heating systems use a renewable source of energy to heat the water that circulates around your heating system.
Although these systems are typically more expensive to install compared with gas and oil-fired boilers, current government financial initiatives (such as the renewable heat incentive) can make renewable heating a favourable option to traditional fossil-fuel systems.
If you are considering replacing your existing boiler, have you considered installing a biomass boiler?
One of the main advantages to biomass boilers over other sources of renewable heating is the fact that the hot water they produce is a similar temperature to a standard oil or gas boiler, meaning it is usually straightfoward to integrate with your existing central heating system.
Furthermore, the government's current renewable heat incentive means you could receive financial payments to offset the cost of installing a new boiler.
You can now take advantage of free heat stored in the ground by using a ground-source heat pump!
Solar energy stored in the ground can be collected through pipework buried in your land and used to heat your home or business.
Although this may sound too good to be true, ground-source heat pumps have been in use in other parts of Europe for many decades, so the technology is tried and tested and a highly efficient way to provide you with heat.
The principle of a ground-source heat pump is simple and the same as a standard domestic fridge.
Air-source heat pumps work in exactly the same way as ground-source heat pumps except that heat energy is extracted from outside air rather than from the ground.
This means that an air-source heat pump can produce around 2-3kW of heat energy for every 1kW of electrical energy used to run the heat pump.
Although this is less than that of a ground-source heat pump, it is still a usable amount of heat for many customers.
The main advantage of an air-source heat pump over a ground-source heat pump is that it does not require any heat collectors laying in the ground.
