MTHC has over 20 years' experience in the plumbing industry in both domestic and commercial work. We are highly qualified in all aspects of plumbing, heating and drainage work and we now employ many more skilled staff such as electricians, welders, joiners, tilers and pipe fitters to enable us to meet your every need. We are based in North Staffordshire where we have an excellent reputation as a trusted and reliable company, but we also work all over the UK and in Europe.
Our team is professional, polite, trustworthy, willing to help and most importantly are able to cater for all your requirements. We have undertaken many jobs from large supermarket chains and department stores, to retail units and smaller commercial properties. The team at MTHC can assist you with any domestic plumbing jobs: from the design and installation of a new bathroom or central heating system, to carrying out emergency repairs, or servicing your existing products.
We are a company that is committed to energy efficiency and so any new installations or upgrades not only will improve the look of your home but will reduce energy bills at the same time.

2017 is going to be an interesting year for business and consumers with Brexit negotiations about to begin in Brussels and a controversial new American president now sworn in.
So with all the doubts and fears surrounding our economic prospects in the months ahead it's probably not the best time to be thinking about keeping those New Year resolutions.
In truth, most of us have probably abandoned the ones we started already!
But it's worth remembering that improving your life in the coming year doesn't necessarily have to involve cutting back on the booze or starting the latest fad diet.

Very proud to announce that MTHC boss (and my husband), Matt Taylor, has been accepted as a WaterSafe accredited contractor.
Is this big news?
We think it is.
For those of you who may not have heard of the scheme, WaterSafe is a free online directory of approved and qualified plumbers in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
It brings together thousands of heating engineers from seven existing Approved Contractors' Schemes across the UK, including the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE) and the Association of Plumbing and Heating Contractors (APHC).

Someone once told me the story of an American golf ball manufacturer who lost an important contract with a Japanese customer because he packaged his products in fours, failing to appreciate that in Japan the number four represents misfortune - and even death.
I thought about this a few weeks ago when we faced a potentially difficult situation surrounding the issue of cultural sensitivity.
We had been asked by an estate agent to visit a rented property to check appliances were safe and to switch on the gas supply for an Asian couple who had just moved in.

We are proud to be supporting the 6th annual Gas Safety Week, a brilliant national awareness campaign aimed at keeping you safe and warm in your homes.
Why is the campaign important?
Essentially, because it draws attention to simple checks you can make around the home to ensure you and your family remain out of danger all year round.
We know that it is easy to become complacent when it comes to servicing a boiler or fitting carbon monoxide alarms.
We all lead busy lives.
Yet every year, thousands of people across the country are diagnosed with carbon monoxide poisoning, an odourless gas which can kill without warning.

If you are elderly or live alone, the thought of allowing strangers into your property can sometimes be a frightening prospect.
And with the media regularly carrying stories of vulnerable people being robbed or ripped-off by rogue tradesmen it's often hard to know who you can trust these days.

This includes up-to-date accreditation, as well as details of our work history, experience and client testimonials.
