At 16 years old I took an apprenticeship with a local heating company, with hands on training, after 5 years I'd served my time and had learnt the basics of my trade, using a variety of plumbing products and piping material (copper, plastic and mild steel).
From there I moved to another local firm which specialised not only in installation but in fault diagnosis and repair of mainly boiler and heating problems, but also my fair share of leaking pipes, seized taps and blocked drain pipes too.
I enjoyed the challenge of fixing a boiler when the customer had been told off other heating engineers "it's time for a new boiler".

A power flush is a process using a power flushing machine, double barrel magnetic filter and flushing chemicals to remove sludgy build-up in the boiler, pipes and radiators that make up your central heating system.
A power flushing unit sends water through your central-heating system at high velocity to dislodge any build-up of sludge, rust and other debris that may be blocking and corroding your system, which is then captured by the magnetic filters.
Each radiator is done individually, whilst introducing clean water until the waste water runs clean.

1. Edge insulation is fitted around the perimeter of the heated room providing a barrier against heat loss and expansion.
3. 500 gauge black polythene is then laid over the complete area.
4. The tacker panel is laid to cover the complete floor area.
5. pipework is then laid in accordance with the Beneath Heat design provided.
Pipe is secured to the layers below with the rail in combination with staples.
6. pipework is connected to the manifold, filled & tested in preparation for screeding.
The Beneath Heat 'Staple & Rail System' has been developed to be used in combination with floor Insulation panels to provide a secure method of securing the pipes to the insulation layer below.
