We only use fully trained and qualified engineers to provide our service. Run by 'The City of Edinburgh Council' and vetted by Trading Standards, with the support of Police Scotland, the Trusted Trader Scheme is a local business partnership aimed at increasing consumer confidence, promoting good practice within local business, and helping protect citizens from doorstep crime.

In 1991, John and Euan MacGregor started the Edinburgh based partnership, J & E MacGregor Plumbers, working out of their office in Corstorphine High Street.
Within a short while the ability to do all things gas was added and they became Plumbing and Heating Engineers.
During the following years the Partnership grew to the point, where, in 2002 the Company moved to bigger premises in Loanhead, from where we've operated out of since.
We have now been established for 20 years, with the decision to turn the Partnership into a Limited Company taken in 2009.
Within a short while the ability to do all things gas was added and they became Plumbing and Heating Engineers.

Over the years J & E MacGregor has worked hard to establish a good reputation amongst our Customers for all things gas, however, that's not how we started.

Our first years in business was learning how to do these little plumbing jobs well.
From that knowledge and experience came the ability to take on bigger plumbing type jobs.
So we now have the ability to offer our domestic Customers a 'one stop shop' for their project or refurbishment, whether they need just plumbers, or like many projects these days, the need for electricians, joiners, plasterers and tilers too!

No problem, all our Engineers are 'Gas Safe' registered, with relevant and current experience in servicing and fault finding gas appliances and systems.
If it's a 'Landlord Certificate' or a 'Gas Safety Check' your looking for, we can do these too.
We then broadened this service and offered all our Customers the same opportunity to have their gas appliances serviced and maintained by J & E MacGregor.
