The client wanted to lose the surround and go to a more modern feel, also wanted that real fire look, but did not want to spend thousands on the upgrade, and wanted a fire that would look good and heat the room.
We then set about building up the opening to the correct size required for the fire, as the wall was to have a covering, the wall was skimmed with a thin plaster coat.
