The business was formed as a sole trader under the name of Alan Leighton Plumbing in 1981.
During the first six months the business developed a strong and growing customer base made up of private clients and a local housing authority.
This early success allowed David Leighton, also a time served plumber to join me.
We were soon working for local builders on small contracts, and as our reputation and work load grew we were successful in employing two first class tradesmen, followed by two others, all of whom I had previously worked alongside, and valued their skills.
